Rules - New England 1000



1.† The New England 1000 is officially open from May 1 - Sept 30.


2.† Entrants can be riders or passengers of motorcycles, sidecars, or trikes.


3. All entrants must register with a run official on the day they do the run. Registration consists of filling out the entry form, signing the conditions of participation, and paying the entry fee.


4.† Starting and ending time and mileage must be recorded by a run official.


5.† Upon completion of the run all finishers must provide gas slips from checkpoints designated by the Rallymaster.


6.† All entrants who complete the run in 24 consecutive hours or less will receive the New England 1000 Run finishers pin and certificate of completion.


8.† The Rallymaster can modify these rules to meet special situations.


9.† Entry Fee: $25.00. If you are not able to finish the run, your entry fee will be refunded, except for $10.00, which will cover costs. Make checks payable to Ed Farrell.


Do I have to start in Augusta?


If you live in Maine the answer is yes. If you live out of state I will allow a start somewhere else on the route if you really canít make it to Augusta and the following rules are followed.


1.† You call the Rallymaster and get approval before you start.


2.† A receipt at the start point with the city, state, date and time. No exceptions.† The time on the receipt will be your official start time.


3.† A receipt at the finish from the same place as the start. The time on the receipt will be your official end time.


4.† A receipt from every gas stop, toll, meal, etc. If you spent money, get a receipt.


5.† A Witness Form for the start and end of the run.


6.† A log of your stops with the following headings. Number your receipts in the order that they were obtained.

7. The fee will be $35.00. Mail your Entry Form, Log, Witness Form, receipts and money as soon as possible after the run to Ed Farrell, New England 1000, PO Box 2230, Augusta, ME 04338. Makes checks payable to Ed Farrell.


8.† Donít want the hassle of receipts and a log, or take a chance on having your run voided, come to Augusta. If the Rallymaster checks you out and in, no receipts are needed and you will get your award when you finish.
